Character BiographyEdit

Autopsy TurvyEdit

In "Autopsy Turvy", a man who was suspected to have been killed in an accident is now looking more like a murder, so Shawn and Gus go to investigate. Whip comes up to them and introduces himself, he being a huge fan of the pair. He finds murder fascinating, and owns a book store mostly about mystery books. He offers to help Shawn and Gus find the killer, as well as paying for snacks. He proved a useful helper, as he knew where the poison was injected into the murder victim, as well as knowing where the man's carnival tickets were to- an old fashioned ball. They find out that he visited a psychic the night he was murdered, so the three go to investigate.

After discovering that the woman lied to the murder victim, saying a woman he loved was in love with him back, she reads a tarot card and says there is death in Whip's future. Whip tries to argue that death is his business, but when Shawn and Gus try to walk away and won't get near him, he starts to freak out, frightened. Shawn and Gus drive him home, but later Shawn realizes that a stamp from Whip's book store was stamped at every place they went. The police go to arrest Whip, but find him dead with a gunshot wound to the head and a note admitting to the murders. However, Shawn and Gus received a phone call of the shot, and hear a door close afterwards, realizing it wasn't Whip who was the killer, but Whip himself was a victim of Woody the Coroner's ex-girlfriend, Grace Larsen, who was jealous of Woody's success. The cops arrive in time, and arrest Grace.

TriviaEdit

Given that he runs a bookstore, and has a need for notoriety, it would seem plausible that 'Chatterly' may well not be his given name, or at least the one he was born with. It may simply derived from the D.H. Lawrence novel "Lady Chatterley's Lover".
