Timothy C. Busfield is an American actor and director who rose to prominence as a core member of the cast of thirtysomething, for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award as best supporting actor in a drama series in 1991. Alongside numerous guest spots, he has had recurring roles on The West Wing and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, both conceived by Aaron Sorkin. He directed one episode of the USA Network hit series Psych, "Shawn and the Real Girl".
