Season Seven of Psych, consisting of 14 episodes, premiered on the USA Network in the United States on February 27, 2013, and ran until May 29, 2013. James Roday, Dulé Hill, Timothy Omundson, Maggie Lawson, Corbin Bernsen, and Kirsten Nelson all reprised their roles as the main characters.
Steve Franks continued to act as show runner of the series. The song "I Know, You Know" performed by The Friendly Indians, was used once again as the show's theme song, though it was edited once for an episode, while the animation changed once. The season two episode "Lights, Camera... Homicidio" theme was used once more in: "No Country for Two Old Men". The 100th episode, "100 Clues" featured an animation change, as the title sequence was altered into a style similar to the credits of "Clue: The Movie."
The season contained The Blair Witch Project, Clue, Sliding Doors and Chinatown tributes among others.
James Roday continued in his tenure as the fake psychic detective Shawn Spencer. Dulé Hill continued to portray Burton "Gus" Guster. Timothy Omundson and Maggie Lawson appeared as detectives Carlton "Lassie" Lassiter and Juliet "Jules" O'Hara, respectively. Corbin Bernsen portrayed Henry Spencer, and Kirsten Nelson returned as SBPD Chief Karen Vick.
Sage Brocklebank made further appearances as Buzz McNab. Kurt Fuller returned in many episodes as Woody the Coroner. Kristy Swanson reprised her role as Marlowe Viccellio, Lassiter's lady-love and wife. Parminder Nagra appeared as Rachael, Gus' new girlfriend. Mateen Devji appeared as Maximus, her son. Max Gail returned to appear as Jerry Carp, the man who shot Henry. Jeffery Tambor made an appearance as Juliet's step-father Lloyd French in two episodes. Anthony Michael Hall appears as Harris Trout, a consultant hired by the mayor to increase efficiency at the SBPD in the season finale "No Trout About It".
