Richard Riehle is an American character actor very much in demand over the last two and a half decades, as shown by his nearly 300 separate screen credits. He had a four-year run on Grounded for Life as Walter Finnerty, and endeared himself to Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans by playing Merrick, the original Watcher who guided Buffy to her destiny in the TV series. He portrayed Army Johnson on the USA Network hit series Psych in the episode "Earth, Wind and... Wait for It".
