Throughout the seasons of 'Psych' there have been numerous references to, and appearances by, wrestlers and wrestling moves. This is an attempt to draw them together in one place. Arguably the most common is the dynamic duo's frequent use of D-Generation X's catchphrase, "Suck it!".

Wrestlers (appearing (in chronological order) and referenced)Edit

Season OneEdit

Season ThreeEdit

  • While searching 'Lyin' Ryan's' apartment in "Truer Lies", Shawn stumbles across a picture of Ryan and "Koko B. Ware", a fan favorite in the WWE in the 1980s.
  • In "Tuesday the 17th," Sean tells Gus that he and Jason are his least-favorite tag team. Clive questions why he didn't choose Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff.

Season FourEdit

  • As the present day section of "Let's Get Hairy" starts, our heroes are settling down to watch the Royal Rumble (which actually takes place in January each year, with this one looking like the 2009 Rumble), each with their own wrestling icon - Gus has JYD, the Junkyard Dog, Sylvester Ritter and Shawn is carrying 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan. In describing JYD as 'the most electrifying wrestler of his time', Gus taps into a phrase employed about Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

Season FiveEdit

  • In "Feet Don't Kill Me Now," Shawn references Jake "The Snake" Roberts as well as Damien, his pet snake he brought to the ring with him.

Season SixEdit

Psych: The MovieEdit

  • The blonde muscle for 'The Thin White Duke' - dubbed "Heather Rockrear" by our heroes - is portrayed by Charlotte Flair (Ashley Fliehr) the real-life daughter of wrestling legend Ric Flair. While battling Henry and Woody she employs both Becky Lynch's 'Dis-arm-her' armbar and her own signature 'Figure Eight' leglock.
