Scary Sherry: Bianca's ToastEdit
In "Scary Sherry: Bianca's Toast, Interim Chief Vick instructs Lassiter to partner up with Goochberg, as she is the new transfer to the SBPD. So, Lassiter heads into the room looking for a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed rookie, since she's just passed her detective exam, and is confronted, in every sense, by a 'woman of a certain age,' who proceeds to tell him how it's going to be. Apparently Detective Goochberg sued the department to let her take the exam again, presumably citing ageism and/or sexism, and it was a case of fourteenth time lucky (or possibly they realized she would take it another fourteen times if necessary, and decided to make her someone else's problem).
She turns out to be deaf in her left ear, have difficulty with direct sunlight, and is fitted with a pacemaker, each of which facts comes up at a less than convenient moment. She has absolutely no fear of guns, but apparently no aptitude with them either, and her last act as an SBPD officer is the physical pursuit of the witness and victim in a robbery, since she's got it into her head that the whole thing is a set up, and she's looking to either shoot or beat the truth out of him. This bout of over-exercise, however, proves too much for her pacemaker, and when last seen she's in the hospital, although, as an act of true compassion, Lassiter assures her that she got her man.
