Deacon Jones is the founder of the oldest at-risk youth charity in Santa Barbara. He helped keep Tony and Drake Clemon off the streets when they were teenagers. In Let's Doo-Wop It Again he's shot by his head of security Jimmy Brigham. Deacon is portrayed by Cheech Marin.

Let's Doo-Wop It Again[]
In Let's Doo-Wop It Again, Blackapella aka Quarterblack (Shawn, Gus, Drake and Tony) perform for Deacon, as Deacon is a long time friend of Tony and Drake, as he kept them off the streets. During the performance Shawn's appendix bursts and he's rushed to the hospital with Gus, Juliet and Henry. While he's there, Deacon is rushed in too, as he'd just been shot.
While Gus, Drake and Tony investigate who shot Deacon, they discover that Deacon had been skimming money from the charity. At first Drake and Tony are appalled, however Deacon explains that he only took the money to pay off the gang lord Chuy, so he'd let the kids leave the gang. Drake and Tony forgive him, and go to investigate more. After Chuy is killed by someone rigging his car to explode, they decide it wasn't Chuy who shot Deacon. Shawn Facetimes Gus and says to check out Deacon's assistant Tina, as he's 100% sure she didn't tell them something. However, this is only because Deacon's head of security, Jimmy Brigham, had a gun to Shawn's head.
Brigham explained that he did it because Deacon was taking away his business, as the cleaner the streets got the less business he'd get. Brigham said he didn't mean to actually hit Deacon, he was just trying to scare him. He then tries to kill Shawn and Deacon by increasing their morphine until they overdose. However, when Brigham turns his back Shawn attacks him and takes his gun, and the police arrive to arrest him. Shawn reveals his father refused to pay for morphine after the first day, and he just had glucose. They stop Deacon from overdosing on the morphine, and take Brigham away.
