(Constance?) "Connie" Camp is a newscaster at KRXJ. She and her husband Mortimer Camp present the show Sun Up Santa Barbara together. Their marriage is under a lot of pressure and they are no longer living under the same roof, but they have no choice but to play the perfect couple whenever they're on the air. Connie is secretly seeing a marriage therapist in order to save the marriage, although ironically this leads her husband to believe that she's having an affair.
